Novices of the Achair convent largely live by subsistence farming. They grow birds and animals, various vegetables, grains.
Guests are always welcome here, and there are many of them at any time of the year. Some come to pray to local shrines. Others go to the monastery to get water from a spring with mineral water. You can do this for free. Interesting fact! The water in the local spring has an amazing property. Its temperature is always 36.6 degrees and does not decrease even in the most severe frosts. This fact and the chemical composition of the mineral water made it possible to consider it miraculous, having healing power.
The Achair monastery regularly hosts divine services, baptizes all comers and organizes guided tours of the monastery.
